Matou Pan Asian Restaurant And Bar The Best By Far!

Following a few very average visits to restaurants around Liverpool, it was a breath of fresh air to sit down for the evening and from beginning to end thoroughly enjoy ourselves.

My girlfriend and I visited the Matou Pan Asian Restaurants last weekend situated on the pier head in the hope of a classy but relaxing atmosphere.  That was exactly what we got, with a dress code which included no track suits or trainers in place with an ever so friendly bouncer on the door to implement the dress code.

Walking up to the top level of the exquisite restaurant, we couldn't help but notice the terrace with its cool and relaxing Thai/Malaysian atmosphere where we enjoyed, cocktails and dry martini looking over the splendid views of Liverpool City Centre and the Liver buildings sat on the leather sofas.

Once called inside for our meal, we were absolutely spell bound by the views overlooking the River Mersey from where you could see the Wirral and look even closer you could see Wales.

The menu consists of food from Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, Japan and China all cooked Freshly. As a starter we ordered the Matou platter comprising of Salt and Pepper Ribs, Crispy Spring Rolls, Satay Chicken Skewers and Prawn Toast. The main we ordered was Panang Curry and Thai Green Curry, the food was of such a high standard but as a recommendation I would choose the Green Thai Curry.

Yes after receiving the bill it was above the average price you would pay at a restaurant, with our bill coming to £80.00 for two including drinks and two courses, however if you want to pay for quality of food and atmosphere the price doesn't seem too extravagant at all for a memorable night out.

Overall as my title suggests it was the best by far. Matou has the whole package - great food, great atmosphere and great staff.

If you are looking to impress someone special Matou is the place to go, Just like I did.
